On April 28, the Executive Development Program (EDP) Council of South China University of Technology visited the Yonghe New Energy Storage Industrial Park of Zhiguang Energy Storage as part of its “Distinguished Enterprise Study Tour” program.

Centered on advancing the new energy storage industry, connecting high-quality industrial resources, strengthening university-enterprise collaboration, and empowering high-quality business development, the event brought together council representatives from the energy, power, and financial sectors to explore emerging opportunities and collaborative pathways in the energy storage market. The delegation was warmly received by Fu Jinjian, General Manager of Zhiguang Energy Storage, Chen Yonggang, Executive Deputy General Manager, and the company’s management team.


About the SCUT EDP Council

Founded in 2004, the EDP Center of South China University of Technology is an executive education institution directly affiliated with the School of Business Administration, dedicated to building a lifelong learning and resource-sharing platform for entrepreneurs and business leaders.

In 2011, the SCUT EDP Alumni Association was officially established with the approval of the university’s alumni federation. Immersive Production Line Tour Showcases Smart Manufacturing Strength


The event began with a corporate presentation introducing Zhiguang Energy Storage’s development journey, core businesses, and future strategy. Guided by the Zhiguang team, the delegation then toured the company’s intelligent manufacturing facilities, including the automated battery PACK production line, PCS manufacturing line, and system integration assembly workshops.

From cell feeding and laser welding to full-system testing, the highly automated production processes and rigorous quality control systems demonstrated Zhiguang Energy Storage’s strong capabilities in core technologies and project delivery.





During the tour, council representatives and Zhiguang technical experts engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as energy storage manufacturing optimization, core technology iteration, product safety management, and application scenario adaptation. These exchanges further enhanced participants’ understanding of the operational and practical aspects of intelligent energy storage manufacturing.

Following the tour, all attendees gathered for a group photo to commemorate the exchange and reinforce the shared vision of collaborative industrial development.

Marketization and Policy Evolution: Industry-Focused Insights


During the industry sharing session, Fu Jinjian delivered a keynote presentation titled “Breaking Through Mechanisms, Returning to Value,” offering insights into the market-oriented development path and policy evolution of new energy storage.

He noted that as electricity market reforms continue to deepen, the energy storage industry is transitioning from being “policy-driven” to “value-driven.” To fully unlock the value of energy storage in grid regulation, capacity support, and power system security, it is essential to improve electricity market mechanisms and establish clearer cost allocation channels.

Drawing on Zhiguang Energy Storage’s extensive project experience and benchmark operational cases, Fu provided an in-depth analysis of the industry’s shift from policy-supported growth toward independent market-driven development. He further explored key topics including business model innovation, industrial value restructuring, and market mechanism optimization, emphasizing that technological innovation and market reform must evolve in parallel to ensure the healthy and sustainable growth of the industry.

Financial Empowerment: Full Lifecycle Financial Service Solutions


In the subsequent financial services session, experts from CITIC Bank presented an overview of integrated financial service solutions for technology enterprises throughout their full development lifecycle.

Addressing funding requirements from early-stage R&D through large-scale commercial operations, the experts provided detailed interpretations of financing models, risk management approaches, and customized financial empowerment strategies. The session offered new perspectives for effective matchmaking between technology enterprises and financial institutions while providing practical financial support references for future project implementation.


This visit by the SCUT EDP Council to Zhiguang Energy Storage not only presented a comprehensive view of intelligent energy storage manufacturing and industrial development thinking, but also created a platform for deep integration among technology, capital, industry, and education.
