From March 31 to April 3, the 14th Energy Storage International Summit and Exhibition (ESIE 2026) was grandly held in Beijing. Centered on the theme “Scenario Innovation · Value Restructuring · Global Win-Win,” the event brought together leading enterprises across the global energy storage value chain, research institutions, and industry experts. Guangzhou Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd. (“Zhiguang Electric”) and its subsidiaries made a prominent appearance, comprehensively showcasing cutting-edge technologies and practical achievements that drive high-quality development in new energy storage, while jointly exploring pathways for large-scale deployment, technological iteration, and ecosystem development.

I. Summit Kickoff: Policy Guidance Ushering in a New Era of High-Quality Development
At the opening ceremony, leaders from national energy authorities, heads of industry associations, and representatives from leading domestic and international energy storage enterprises gathered to launch the event. Discussions focused on policy direction, market mechanism development, and technological breakthroughs in new energy storage, clarifying its transition from demonstration applications to a value-centric hub.
In 2026, new energy storage has been designated as one of the six “emerging pillar industries.” The sector is shifting from rapid capacity expansion to a stage centered on quality and efficiency. Competition is no longer defined solely by installed capacity, but by full lifecycle value creation and safety assurance.

II. Leadership Insights: Exploring Sustainable Development Models Across Cycles
At the Academician Forum of the Frontier Technology Conference, Jiang Xinyu, President of Zhiguang Electric, joined industry leaders to discuss the future business models of energy storage. He emphasized that amid rapid industry changes, companies must build a healthy industrial ecosystem, strengthen supply chain collaboration, and enhance flexible service capabilities alongside capacity support.
Jiang highlighted the importance of adopting a “long-term mindset,” focusing on addressing core challenges such as grid security and revenue optimization rather than chasing short-term technological trends. This approach is essential to building lasting competitiveness that can withstand both economic and technological cycles.

III. Forum Insights: Fu Jinjian on Market-Oriented Breakthrough Paths
On the afternoon of March 31, the ESIE 2026 main forum officially opened. Fu Jinjian, General Manager of Zhiguang Energy Storage, delivered a keynote speech titled “Breaking Through Mechanisms, Returning to Value – Market-Oriented Pathways and Policy Evolution of New Energy Storage.”
Fu noted that with the optimization of mandatory storage allocation policies and the establishment of capacity pricing mechanisms, energy storage is transitioning into roles as an “independent market entity” and a “system stabilizer.” Drawing on Zhiguang’s project experience in grid-forming cascaded high-voltage storage, commercial and industrial user-side storage, and renewable-integrated storage, he proposed a practical pathway: aligning technology with scenarios, matching mechanisms with value, and enhancing returns through operation.
He further pointed out that applications such as grid-forming cascaded high-voltage storage and AC/DC integrated systems will play a critical role in addressing grid stability challenges, reducing levelized cost of electricity (LCOE), and maximizing storage value—providing practical references for policy optimization and market mechanism improvement.

IV. Moment of Honor: Jiang Xinyu Named “Energy Storage Person of the Year”
At the welcome banquet and the 10th International Energy Storage Innovation Competition Awards Ceremony, Jiang Xinyu was honored with the title of “Energy Storage Person of the Year.” This award recognizes outstanding leaders who have made significant contributions to the large-scale development, technological advancement, and market expansion of the energy storage industry.
With years of deep expertise in the sector, Jiang has led Zhiguang Electric to establish a complete energy storage industry chain spanning core component, system integration, intelligent O&M, and full-scenario solutions. The company has successfully delivered over 20 hundred-megawatt-level demonstration projects, with more than 12 GWh in cumulative installed capacity, supporting the development of new power systems.
Under Jiang’s strategic leadership, Zhiguang Electric has secured a strong position in the niche market of cascaded high-voltage energy storage and is steadily advancing toward becoming an internationally influential provider of digital energy technologies and integrated energy services.
V. Technological Frontier: Hardcore Innovations Driving Industry Evolution
Tang Xu, Technical Director of Zhiguang Energy Storage, was invited to speak at a dedicated sub-forum on grid-forming energy storage, presenting on “Multi-Scenario Applications of Grid-Forming Cascaded High-Voltage Energy Storage Systems.” He highlighted the core technical advantages of grid-forming storage and shared application cases including renewable grid integration and off-grid operation.
The cascaded high-voltage energy storage system features simplified station design, strong grid-forming capability, high efficiency, and exceptional safety. Its adaptability and reliability across complex scenarios on the generation, grid, and load sides demonstrate its immense potential as a core supporting technology for future power systems.

During the exhibition, Liu Mancang, Manager of the Solutions Department, officially launched a 1.55 MW / 6.25 MWh AC/DC integrated large-capacity energy storage system. The system highly integrates batteries, high-voltage units, and PCS, and incorporates BMS, EMS, and DMS management systems. With cluster-level management, DC contained within enclosures, and factory pre-integration, it enhances safety and shortens construction timelines.
Innovations in structural design and hardware optimization enable broad applications in renewable output smoothing, grid-side peak shaving and frequency regulation, and industrial and commercial peak-valley arbitrage—driving the industry toward higher integration, greater efficiency, and lower costs.
VI. Media Spotlight: Amplifying Zhiguang’s Industry Voice
During the exhibition, Zhiguang Electric’s executives and technical experts were invited for interviews by multiple authoritative media outlets and platforms. They provided in-depth insights into policy trends and market opportunities in energy storage, effectively communicating the company’s technological philosophy, product value, and industry responsibility, while further enhancing brand influence and market recognition.
ESIE 2026 marks a pivotal transition in the energy storage industry—from policy-driven to market-driven growth, and from scale expansion to value creation. Through comprehensive participation, multi-dimensional technology showcases, and full-scenario solution sharing, Zhiguang Electric demonstrated both its technical strength and deep understanding of market-oriented development pathways.
Entering the “15th Five-Year Plan” phase characterized by large-scale, market-driven, and globalized development of new energy storage, Zhiguang Electric will continue to leverage technological innovation as its core engine. The company remains committed to delivering optimal lifecycle value solutions for customers and contributing to the construction of new power systems and the global transition toward green energy.
