April 10-13, 2024, the 12th International Energy Storage Summit and Exhibition (ESIE 2024), hosted by CNESA, the China Energy Research Society, and the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was grandly held at the Shougang Exhibition Center in Beijing. At the exhibition, Zhiguang Electric proudly launched its overseas version of industrial and commercial energy storage products - the 3.4MW/6.8MWh Liquid cooling BESS and the 186kW/372kWh C&I All-In-One BESS, which received high recognition from industry insiders.

With the theme of "Developing New Quality Productive Forces in Energy Storage and Creating a New Pattern for Energy Transformation", the summit gathered technical suppliers, experts and scholars, and industry experts to discuss in depth the high-quality development ideas and innovative paths of the new energy storage industry from multiple dimensions. Dr. Lin Zebo, Senior Vice President of Zhiguang Electric, delivered a keynote speech on "Accelerate Oversea Large-Scale BESS Development by Innovation and Practice from China " at the China-Europe Energy Storage Cooperation Forum. He introduced in detail the company's research and development capabilities, diversified product portfolio that meets market demand, flexible business models, and overseas market conditions to the participants. He stated that in response to the current challenges facing the industry, Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd. has launched a new generation of liquid-cooled cascade high-voltage large-capacity energy storage system and distributed energy storage system, which, coupled with an intelligent operation and maintenance platform, achieves high efficiency, ultimate safety, simplified power stations, and strong grid construction, injecting new vitality into the sustainable development of the industry.

At the new product launch event, Tang Xu, Technical Director of Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd., introduced the company's independently developed single-machine gigawatt-level grid-forming high-voltage cascade energy storage system. This system provides virtual inertia, enhance short-circuit capacity, improve system strength, perform virtual power transmission, and achieve rapid system response in grid-connected scenarios. In microgrid scenarios, it can achieve black start, be used in off-grid island microgrids, or serve as a backup power source and UPS uninterruptible power supply. In addition, the system eliminates the loss of the power frequency step-up transformer, reducing the loss by 30% and increasing the efficiency by more than 6-10%. It possesses similar operating characteristics to conventional synchronous generators, has strong grid support capabilities, and lower control implementation difficulty, making it more suitable for the technical requirements of new power systems for energy storage.

In an interview with Xinhua News, Dr. Lin Zebo mentioned that new quality productive forces have pointed out the direction for Chinese enterprises, especially manufacturing enterprises like Zhiguang. Through technological innovation and increased investment in research and development, we enhance the performance and efficiency of our products in various stages such as research, design, production, quality control, delivery, and usage, making our products safer, more reliable, green, and environmentally friendly, ultimately building the competitiveness of Chinese enterprises in a globalized environment. Regarding Zhiguang's overseas strategy, Dr. Lin Zebo stated that on the one hand, it is necessary to ensure that the company's products comply with international standards and certification systems. On the other hand, personalized customized services should be provided according to the needs of international market customers. In addition, we must strengthen our services. Energy storage products are durable energy products with a service life of up to 15-20 years. When overseas customers entrust large-scale energy storage orders to Chinese enterprises for supply, they naturally hope that Chinese enterprises can provide uninterrupted services during the long-term use of the products.
